Legal Counsel (stand alone), Telford, c£50k
On behalf of our client we are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Counsel or UK Qualified Solicitor (ideally Employment with some Commercial experience) looking to make their first move from private practice to an in-house role.
As our client’s business grows and becomes more sophisticated and complex it increasingly has the need for legal services. It has reached the stage where it makes sense to hire a full time Legal Counsel to advise on legal issues across the business with the primary focus being on Employment Law.
This role would suit a trusted legal professional who thrives on a varied workload and who can look after the legal needs of the business across a wide range of areas, including:
> Employment – contentious and non-contentious, equality and safeguarding, re-organisation and restructure etc.
> Commercial – partnership, trading and supplier agreements, IP, data protection compliance etc.
The role may also include involvement in wider day-to-day issues such as contributing to staff training, tendering processes, business development projects, corporate communications, insurance reports etc.
Suitable candidates will have relevant UK qualifications and PQE and should be able to demonstrate advanced communication skills, business acumen, team working, the ability to acquire new areas of expertise and a genuine desire to contribute to/support a diverse business to deliver it’s outcomes.
The salary is dependent upon experience, the holiday allocation is generous (34 rising to 39 days, including stats) and our client is willing to consider flexibility to work from home for the right candidate (providing they live within commutable distance).
